London Shopping
London shopping is one of the major attractions in the City. The five areas that every dedicated shopper must visit are: Oxford Street, Knightsbridge, Covent Garden, Regent Street, and Bond Street. When it comes to upmarket department stores, Knightsbridge is where Harrods and Harvey Nichols are located. Oxford Street, in Westminster, is the heart of London retail with large scale, everything for everyone, department stores and many, many smaller shops. Sothebys, the auction house, is located on Bond Street, in Mayfair, as are numerous upscale boutiques. Bond Street is what Knightsbridge wants to be, and almost is. Covent Garden offers theatres, museums, galleries, and markets. The National Theatre and Royal Opera House are here. There are many other shopping areas in London, but even the most avid shopper will need quite some time to browse these five areas. Shoppers from elsewhere will be pleased to find that the large, multi-story department store with a wide range of goods, is still very much in style here. A bicycle for the kid? Silver for the dining room? Fashionable clothing? A major kitchen appliance? Yep, you can get them all in a single department store (perhaps not every store) when you go London shopping.London Shopping
